Frequently asked questions

How does it work?

Fill in the registration form and we will add you to our research panel. We will then contact you when we next organise a study for which your opinion could help us.
Naturally, you do not have to attend if you are unable. You are free to help out whenever convenient.

Where do the surveys take place? How long does it take?

The surveys usually take place at ING’s head office in Etterbeek and take about 1 hour.
Sometimes, we also conduct online surveys which only take about 10 to 20 minutes. Ideal if you don’t have the time or ability to get to our offices.

What will I have to do?

We conduct different kinds of surveys. The most common ones are:
  • workshops where we test certain products or services in detail. In these cases, you will be asked to try out a specific online service after which, the researcher will ask you a number of questions: whether you found it easy to use, what did you expect would happen after clicking a certain button, what you would improve, etc.
  • studies in which we try to gather as many insights as possible via online questionnaires. We may, for instance, ask you to put certain menu items into categories or tell us what you think of the name of a new account, etc.

Your answers, reactions and suggestions will help us make ING the best possible bank for its customers.

Do I need to know anything about banking to take part?

No, absolutely not. We are inviting you to take part because we value your opinion as a customer. It doesn’t matter what your background is.

What happens with my suggestions and remarks?

We will put them to work! Your responses and remarks during the survey show us how our customers use our services and products. Thanks to those insights, we can make changes and adjustments that are of real use to our customers.

What do I get in return?

Personal interviews usually take about 1 hour. In return, we will offer you a gift voucher valued at 50 euros.
Online surveys by the research team take around 10 to 20 minutes. We will offer you a small reward as compensation for your time.
